Victorian Mourning Ring
£565.00
This is a ring with a heartbreaking story but a beautiful sentiment. It is perfectly constructed and in immaculate condition, and is a fine example of a Victorian mourning ring. The cartouche to the front is hand engraved with the initials 'JW' To the inside is a stamp for '15ct' and the message 'Wee Wattie died 6th May 1901'. The makers mark 'JR' is also present.
The plaited hair is in excellent condition, and the two half pearls look to be original and secure. A beautiful collectors piece.
