Victorian Fede Regard Ring

Highly collectable, this is a beautiful example of the most sentimental of ring designs.
The gemstones are acrostic- Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and Diamond (in the centre) -the first letter of each spelling out the word Regard.
The two hands make it a 'Fede' ring, from the Latin 'mani fede' meaning hands joined in faith.
The flower is a Forget Me Not, and hidden behind it on the inside of the ring is a tiny chamber for hair. The glass is missing on this one, but could be replaced.
No hallmarks remain, but the ring tests as 18ct gold.
